The Document Foundation has released the new version 6.3 of its office suite LibreOffice. Among other things, the latest version brings a much higher speed of Writer and Calc, which should make it easier to work with large files or complicated operations.
The compact tab navigation introduced in version 6.2 is now also available for Writer, Calc, Impress and Draw. Furthermore, we worked on the PDF export function, which now complies with the PDF / A-2 standard. A blackout feature prevents unauthorized people from seeing personal information.
Anyone working with LibreOffice and Microsoft Office will be pleased to see the enhanced collaboration through a strong improvement in export-to-post or import-of-MS Office functionality. The following video summarizes the changes in a nutshell. In detail, you will find the changelog also in the LibreOffice blog.
Version 6.3 can now be downloaded from the LibreOffice website
