Dubai International Airport is still the busiest airport in the world for international travel. It was told from the airport that it welcomed 8.9 million passengers in 2018. In the year 2017, the number of passengers coming here was 8.8 million.
Dubai International Airport had surpassed London’s Heathrow Airport for the first time in 2014 as the world’s busiest airport in international traffic. The Dubai International Airport has since retained its achievement, and around 75 airlines operate their flights. In Georgia, the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the largest busiest airport in the world.
According to the new figures, in 2018, a total of 89,149,387 passengers used the airport. India has been the biggest source of traffic for the airport. Most travelers traveled from cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Cochin in India.
Saudi is the second place with more than 6.4 million travelers, surpassing United Kingdom’s travelers. About 6.3 million British citizens used the airport. In addition to these countries, 3.5 million passengers from China, 3.2 million from the US and approximately 1.5 million passengers from Russia used the Dubai airport. Dubai airport crossed the figure of 8 million passengers twice in July last year.
