The affected is a woman who was injured in the terrorist attacks in Paris in November 2015.

A doctor in France is in trouble after it is discovered that he wanted to sell the X-ray of a patient, a victim of the Paris terrorist attacks in November 2015.

What makes the case more curious is that the orthopedic surgeon Emmanuel Masmejean of the George Pompidou hospital in Paris intended to sell the X-ray of a rifle bullet lodged close to a bone as an NFT.

These actions were taken without the knowledge of the patient, to whom he also described the woman as “a young woman who lost her boyfriend in the Bataclan massacre”, something that would make it very easy to identify her.

“This doctor, not content to break his duty of medical secrecy towards this patient, thought it would be a good idea to describe the life of the young woman, making her very easy to identify,” the woman’s defense complained in statements reproduced by The Guardian.

Masmejean offered the X-ray on renowned NFT site OpenSea for $2,776, Mediapart reported.

The doctor has removed the X-ray from the site, although he has not apologized to the woman. He will face legal action and disciplinary charges.
